Report a crypto scam in Switzerland
Official places to report crypto and investment fraud in Switzerland, and the latest local warnings.
Where to report
- FINMA warning list — The financial regulator's list of unauthorised providers.
- Federal Office for Cyber Security (BACS) — Report online fraud attempts. Report the crime itself to the cantonal police.
Do this first
- Stop sending money, including any “fee” or “tax” demanded before a withdrawal.
- Call your bank, card issuer or exchange: some payments can still be stopped.
- Keep every message, wallet address, transaction ID and the website address.
- Report to the police and to the regulator above. Each report helps the regulator warn others.
- Ignore anyone offering to recover your money for an upfront fee.
