Where to report
- Action Fraud (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) — The national fraud reporting centre. Phone 0300 123 2040.
- Police Scotland — In Scotland, report fraud to the police on 101.
- FCA: report a scam or unauthorised firm — Tells the regulator about the firm so it can warn others. FCA consumer helpline 0800 111 6768.
Do this first
- Stop sending money, including any “fee” or “tax” demanded before a withdrawal.
- Call your bank, card issuer or exchange: some payments can still be stopped.
- Keep every message, wallet address, transaction ID and the website address.
- Report to the police and to the regulator above. Each report helps the regulator warn others.
- Ignore anyone offering to recover your money for an upfront fee.
